![]() Between work, friends, social events, family events, errands, and all of the other chaos of the day, you may forget to brush now and again. One simple way to avoid that is to always brush at the same time each day. That way, your body naturally begins to recognize the times where you would normally brush, making it an active part of your day. Brushing At the Same Time Each DayWhen you get up at the same time each day, one of the first things you should do is brush your teeth. It rids your mouth of the bacteria from the night before. For example, if you get up at 7:00 am each day, then you should set your morning time to brush at about 7:15. That way, you have enough time to get up, stretch, use the bathroom, and then brush. You are already there anyway, so it makes the most sense. Then, in the evenings, even if you go to bed at different times, you likely have a cutoff time where you stop eating more food. This should dictate your evening time to brush. You want to brush about 30 minutes after you have finished eating. This way, your saliva had the opportunity to wash your mouth and neutralize your pH before you brush. If you keep to this schedule, you will be far less likely to forget brushing your teeth. For those who have forgotten now and again, call us.
